Today, our Wildcat Battalion had the privilege of recognizing a very special member of our team, Charlie Steiner, on his retirement after 24 years of dedicated service as a school bus driver.

For many years, Charlie has been the primary driver for our JROTC program, safely transporting cadets to competitions, field trips, parades, leadership events, and countless other activities. His professionalism, reliability, and positive attitude made him much more than a bus driver, he became part of our JROTC family.

As a small token of our appreciation, we presented Charlie with a retirement plaque featuring a photograph of our cadets during a Veterans Day Parade, along with a Battalion Challenge Coin. These gifts symbolize the gratitude and respect our cadets and instructors have for his years of unwavering support.

Charlie, thank you for the miles traveled, the early mornings, the late nights, and the genuine care you showed our cadets throughout your career. Your impact on our program will not be forgotten.

On behalf of the entire JROTC Battalion, congratulations on your well-earned retirement, and best wishes for the road ahead!

Pretty fun day for “PT”. With the stress of finals and the chaos that comes with last few days of school, I figured the cadets could blow off a little steam and just have fun.

This afternoon five cadets conducted a colorguard at the Kirby Cup baseball game. This game was in honor of a young Walpole student named Henry, who is courageously battling cancer. We were out there supporting him and everything he is going through

First day at JCLC is complete. The Cadets did an amazing job yesterday learning about land navigation. They completed a day and night land navigation course. Best news is that no-one got lost , well, at least not for very long.

These Cadets have been busy these past few days!

On Friday, we participated in two Color Guard Memorial assemblies at Fall Mountain Regional High School and Vilas Middle School. Cadets Sudsbury, Loch, and Stavrou each delivered speeches, while Cadet D’Alessandro served as the Master of Ceremonies at FMRHS.

Today, the cadets marched in three Memorial Day parades — one in the rain, but thankfully the sun came out for the other two! Cadet Gruenbaum sang the National Anthem at the parades and did an amazing job.

Cadet Morel gave a speech in North Charlestown, Cadet Gilderdale spoke in Charlestown, and Cadet D’Alessandro delivered a wonderful speech in Walpole.

More photos to come!

Raider season has officially come to an end. On Thursday, our Raider team took on Mount Monadnock and had an amazing time climbing together as a team. The season was full of hard work, teamwork, and dedication, and we are proud of everything our cadets accomplished. We can’t wait to see what next year’s Raider season brings. Raiders lead the way!

Yesterday, we had a great time practicing color guard and participating in leader reaction courses. We also welcomed three students from Keene High School for a shadow day to experience what our program is like. The cadets enjoyed meeting them and showing them what we do each day. We hope to see them join the program next year!
