The Jeffery Lee Story is coming to your screen — and we need you there.

Join us this Wednesday, June 3 at 6pm CT for a virtual screening of the documentary on Jeffery Lee's case. Alabama Senator Robert Stewart will speak on judicial override and what it means for Jeffery. A member of the legal team will take your questions live.

In 2017, Alabama abolished judicial override because it was wrong. Jeffery Lee is still on death row because of it. June 11 is ten days away.

Watch the film. Hear from the people fighting for his life. Then call Governor Ivey.

Juries protect our right to a fair and just trial; replacing the voice of our peers with one judge’s voice is contrary to the democracy that all of our country proudly supports.

We are sad that our work is still needed—now more than ever—but are grateful to be able to do it with all of you.

Jeffery Lee has 13 days.

His ex*****on is scheduled for June 11, 2026. Governor Kay Ivey has the power to stop it. We are not slowing down, and neither should you.

Since our last letter, this campaign has been in motion. We held a private screening of the clemency film. We showed up in Montgomery alongside thousands of people marching for justice in Alabama. And we have two critical events ahead before June 11th. Here is everything you need to know.

WE WERE IN MONTGOMERY ON MAY 16TH.

On May 16th, thousands of people gathered in Selma and Montgomery for All Roads Lead to the South, a National Day of Action for voting rights. More than 90 civil rights, faith, labor, and community organizations marched from the Edmund Pettus Bridge to the steps of the Alabama State Capitol to call on Alabama to protect the right to vote.

We were there because this is where the fight for justice lives. And as long as Jeffery Lee is on death row in this state, we will keep showing up.

PRIVATE FILM SCREENING - MAY 18TH

On May 18th, we held a private screening of the clemency film for a small group of advocates, organizers, and supporters. The room was quiet in the way rooms get when something important is happening.

The response was immediate. People who had followed this case for months said seeing Jeffery tell his own story changed something for them. That is exactly what this film is meant to do.

HERE IS WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU

Thirteen days.

We have a film. We have a petition. We have a march behind us and a delivery date ahead. What we need now is everyone on this list doing one thing before June 11th, whether that is signing, sharing, calling, or showing up on June 3rd.

Governor Ivey's office: (334) 242-7100

A jury already gave Jeffery his life. Help us make sure Alabama cannot take it away.

THANK YOU FOR BEING SOMEONE WHO SHOWS UP.

Not a hypothetical. Not someday. June 11.

That is the date Alabama has set to execute Jeffery Lee. A man who has spent 26 years as a chaplain, a peacekeeper, and a source of grace inside one of the toughest prisons in the country.

No jury ever sentenced Jeffery Lee to death. Alabama plans to execute him anyway.

Governor Ivey has the power to stop this. Call her today. (334) 242-7100. Sign the petition at the link in our bio.
