While the town experienced significant flash flooding this week, the major routes into town—including Highway 62—are open and accessible. Please continue to use caution while traveling and check your route if you typically use back roads.

Most importantly, please keep the residents of Lanesville and all those affected by the flooding in your prayers.

This week Speaker:
Fr. Thomas Petri, O.P. is a priest born in Detroit and raised in Kentucky. He joined the Order of Preachers (the Dominicans) in 2003 and was ordained in 2009. Since then, he has earned advanced degrees, served in a wide variety of roles in his community and the wider Church—including as President of the Pontifical Faculty at the Dominican House of Studies—published scholarly work, given many lectures, and become a frequent contributor on EWTN.

After 20 years of living and serving on the East Coast, he’s happy to be back in the Bluegrass State and now serves at St. Louis Bertrand Parish in Louisville. Fr. Petri brings a deep love for the Church’s intellectual tradition—and a gift for making it clear, engaging, and relevant.
