Being Hydro-cephalic since 1980 I brain surgery to install a shunt at CHOC of Orange County Iv learn to inspire myself to be strong. and healthy. I was considered handicap, I couldn’t play football, wrestle or any physical activity. I couldn’t join the fire dept or military because my condition. This didn’t stop me I learn move forward and enjoy life. Taking up fishing was my key to staying health

y and not harp on my condition. My Super Shunt Foundation is a way I can inspire anyone with any handicap. Its important for me to share my story of strength and positive thinking.

Hello I'm Denver Jesse Pinkerton Since 1981, I’ve lived with a neurological condition called hydrocephalus. I underwent surgery to place a shunt in my brain to relieve dangerous pressure caused by excess fluid—and I still have that same shunt today.
Now, My Super Shunt is beginning a new journey focused on fun, connection, and sharing what it truly means to live life as someone with hydrocephalus. One of the most exciting parts of this journey will be discovering and sharing other people’s experiences with hydro.
If you’re a Hydro Warrior—or know one—I’d love to interview you. After 45 years of living with hydrocephalus, I have so much to share, learn, and inspire.
