Lander Cycling Club

Lander Cycling Club Beginner or advanced, backyard to backcountry, we want to make it easier for you to get out and ride programs. We believe bikes provide freedom of place. Join us!

The Lander Cycling Club works collectively to expand diverse cycling opportunities for riders of all ages and abilities. With the support of our donors, volunteers, club members, and public land managers, we build, maintain, groom, and support over 400 miles of trails in Lander, Wyoming. Through our combined efforts, we have secured the opportunity for every child in Fremont County to learn how to

ride a bike with fleets of Striders and curriculum to support this effort through their elementary school p.e. Continuing the generational shift, we have funded and secured a fleet of mountain bikes for our local middle school as well. Whoever you are, wherever you want to go, we’re here to help you on your unique journey.

🚌 By popular demand, the free community shuttles to Fossil Hill are officially returning.
👤 Your Driver This Week:
We are thrilled to have the one and only Mike Dicken, owner of Wind River Shuttle, behind the wheel to get you safely up the canyon!
While the shuttle ride is free, keeping programs like this running takes a village. If you aren’t an active member or haven’t given recently, please consider supporting the cause:
    •    Note: The operational cost of these shuttles is roughly equivalent to the lowest tier of a yearly membership—every dollar counts!

These seats fill up incredibly fast!
Grab the registration code directly from the official LCC website to lock in your seat.

Great way to spend a brisk Sunday morning! ☀️ Pulled invasive species on the Sunny Side trails in Sinks Canyon State Park. We love collaborating with the park and appreciate W**d and Pest coming out to educate us.

My favorite part? Learning about common weeds that actually have medicinal qualities! 🌿 Winning! 💪

⚠️ Noxious W**d Alert: Houndstongue ⚠️
This Sunday, May 17th, 9am-noon. Meet at Sunnyside trailhead next to the cattle-guard. 🐾🐴 Here’s why you need to watch out for Houndstongue:
    •    Toxic to the Core: It contains poison that causes permanent liver damage. Even when dried in hay, it’s still deadly if eaten! ☠️
    •    Velcro Seeds: Those “sticky” burrs have tiny hooks that latch onto fur and gear. They can cause painful eye infections and even blindness in animals. 👁️🩹
    •    The Ultimate Bully: It grows fast, takes over pastures, and kills off the healthy grass that wildlife and farm animals actually need to survive. 🌾🚫
Pro Tip: If you see those fuzzy “tongue-shaped” leaves or purple flowers, pull them out (with gloves!) before the seeds drop! 🧤✨

We also request that while cattle are at The Bus, please consider keeping your dog leashed around livestock. Chase causes significant stress and injury to the animals and puts your dog at risk from defensive cattle. Respectful leashing is a key part of responsible stewardship and ensures these beautiful areas remain open to everyone. 🐄 ♥️ 🐕 😃 On a separate note, head up to Fry lake- switchbacks are open! 🏅
