Heads up! Our Wildlife on Tap event scheduled for June 3rd has been cancelled and will be rescheduled for December.

But don't worry, WOT isn't going anywhere. We'll be back in July with a presentation on the Herps of Wyoming - and we think it's going to be a good one. Stay tuned for details.

Want to get into fly fishing but don't know where to start? Trout'n About is a two-day women-led clinic built for beginners, coming to Laramie on June 13 and 14.

Day one covers the basics — gear, casting, reading water, and fly selection — in a classroom setting at the Laramie Region Game and Fish Office. Day two puts it all to use with hands-on time on private water and one-on-one mentorship from start to finish.

Walk away with the skills and confidence to fish on your own, and connections with other women who love Wyoming's outdoors.

The Seminoe Pumped Storage Project could change the North Platte River forever - and the fishing, hunting, wildlife, and public access that go with it.
On May 27th, Friends of the North Platte and partners are hosting a pint night at Bull Horn Brewery in Casper to share the facts about the proposed project and what it could mean for the North Platte downstream.

Come hear from experts, ask questions, and learn what's at stake. No commitment required. Just show up.

The 2026 legislative session showed what's possible when hunters, anglers, landowners, and conservation partners show up together for Wyoming's wildlife and outdoor way of life.

WWF helped lead one of the strongest sessions for wildlife and public lands in recent memory. Public lands stayed public. Wildlife stayed in public hands. Nearly $40 million was restored for wildfire and cheatgrass recovery. And more than 75 hunters, anglers, and conservation advocates came to Cheyenne for Camo at the Capitol to testify, ask questions, and meet directly with lawmakers.

None of it happened by accident. It came from showing up consistently, building relationships, and staying at the table long after the headlines moved on.

The Fourth Annual Bear Banquet is in the books, and it was a great night for large carnivore conservation in Wyoming.

Thank you to everyone who came out to Cody Cattle Company to join us and our partners at the American Bear Foundation for an evening of food, auctions, and good conversation with fellow hunters, conservationists, and wildlife supporters from across the state.

Events like this one are how we keep the momentum going on bear research, management, and community outreach in Wyoming. We couldn't do it without you.

A big thank you to our sponsors as well - their support makes this event possible year after year.

Wyoming kids are built differently.

Saoirse Hall is a third grader from Casper who spends her time fishing the North Platte with her grandpa, hiking Casper Mountain, and doing the kind of things Wyoming kids do. She also picks up trash on trails, plants pollinator gardens, and raises butterflies — because she believes in speaking up for animals and wild places that can't speak for themselves.

Now she's in the running to be named the National Wildlife Federation's 2026 Junior Ranger, and voting ends tonight at 8PM.

This is a chance to help a Wyoming kid win on a national stage. Cast your vote here: https://jr-ranger.org/2026/saoirse-51a5

P.S. If she wins, Saoirse plans to donate half her prize to conservation organizations. We told you Wyoming kids are built differently.

The Wyoming Game and Fish Commission meets April 21 and 22 in Riverton to finalize Wyoming's 2026 hunting seasons and regulations.

This is the final step in a process that started at public meetings across the state last month. The Commission will review public input gathered at those meetings and vote on proposed seasons for deer, elk, pronghorn, and more.

WWF will be in attendance and we hope to see you there!

The meeting is open to the public in person at the Holiday Inn, 900 East Sunset Drive, and via Zoom. Details here: https://wgfd.wyo.gov/commission
