Sunnyside Trail is closed to pets from December 1, 2025 - April 30, 2026, to relieve stress on the mule deer and other wildlife that use the habitat in the winter.

The Sunnyside is a critical mule deer winter habitat, which provides easier access to food and shelter during the harsh Wyoming winters.

The Sunnyside Trail is currently still open for recreation use, just no pets.
