❤️ A Heartfelt Thank You and Tribute to Chris ❤️

We want to take a moment to remember someone very special to Cat Haven Rescue — our beloved board member, Chris.

Chris was one of the main people who helped get Cat Haven Rescue started 13 years ago. From the very beginning, Chris believed in our mission and dedicated time, heart, and love to helping cats in need.

Sadly, we lost Chris, but the impact Chris had on Cat Haven will never be forgotten. The lives Chris helped save, the cats Chris helped, and the foundation Chris helped build will continue to live on through everything we do.

Thank you, Chris, for believing in Cat Haven, for helping make it what it is today, and for giving so much of yourself to the cats who needed you. ❤️🐾
We are forever grateful, and we will carry your love for these animals with us always.
Rest peacefully, Chris. You will always be a part of the Cat Haven family. 🌈🐾❤️

We are overwhelmed with gratitude for everyone who came together to help us get Vito, Chicken Leg, and Hugh the surgeries they desperately needed. Because of your generosity, all three have now had their surgeries and are recovering well! 🐾❤️

Let's talk microchipping!
I am super duper big on microchipping so let's talk about why

What is it?
🕵️ A microchip is an identification like your social security number or drivers license number. Everyone's is different.

Why do we microchip?
🏠No matter how prepared you are things can happen. A worker could leave a door open, a carrier could break on the way to the vet, or many other possibilities could lead to your baby getting loose. A microchip guarantees if your baby is found, they can get back to you.

Why we know it works?
🦮 I have personally been able to reunite quite a few dogs with their owners due to microchipping. These puppies decided to go off on an adventure and if they didn't have a microchip they might not have made it home.

So even though it may seem scary or mean to poke them with a needle, it is so necessary. All we want is for your babies to get home to you safe and microchips help do that❤️

The last kitten has been caught. We are on our way to pick up all 3.

🚨 URGENT — HELP NEEDED IN DADE CITY! 🚨
We desperately need someone who can help us get a tiny kitten out of a vehicle engine! 😿
There are 5 kittens in this family. Trappers have caught 4, but the fifth is hiding inside the engine of a vehicle that doesn’t run, and they cannot safely get it out.

The two caught last night are in critical condition severely malnourished, dehydrated, hypothermic, flea-infested and anemic. Two more were caught today and still need to be assessed.

🙏 WE NEED SOMEONE IN THE DADE CITY AREA WITH EXPERIENCE OR EQUIPMENT TO HELP REMOVE THIS BABY ASAP.

A Heartfelt Thank You ❤️
We have an incredibly generous donor who wishes to remain anonymous, and they have stepped up to cover today’s two leg amputation surgeries. We cannot thank them enough for this incredible gift! ❤️🐾
This means that all donations from our current fundraiser will now go directly toward Vito’s surgery and helping us pay the outstanding veterinary bills from June.

We are so incredibly grateful for everyone who has donated, shared, prayed, and supported Cat Haven Rescue. Every single dollar truly makes a difference and allows us to continue saying YES to cats in need. 🐱❤️

❤️ Our Hearts Are Bigger Than Our Wallets ❤️
We simply cannot stand to see hungry, homeless cats go without food. They depend on us, and we will continue doing everything we can to make sure they are fed.

We’ve added another monthly auto-ship to our account, bringing us to 30 auto-ship orders every month to help feed our foster cats and homeless community cats. 🐱❤️

Our newest auto-ship is $100 every month and provides food for approximately 16–20 cats.

And we aren’t just feeding these cats — we are also in the process of TNRing them (Trap, Neuter & Return) to make sure they cannot continue reproducing and adding even more homeless cats to the population. 🐾❤️

That’s a big expense for a small rescue, and we could really use some amazing sponsors to help us keep these meals coming. Even a small monthly sponsorship makes a HUGE difference!
