For the first time, renewable energy sources such
as wind and solar generated more power in the U.S. than coal last year. Renewables generated 22 percent of total power,
compared with 20 percent for coal.
The Boston Globe Forty-three percent of
American schools have installed panic buttons or
silent alarms that send alerts to law enforcement, up from 29 percent during the 2017—18 school
