ANNOUNCING: Our Friends Week Member of Honor -- ROZ FENTON. There’s never a conversation with the warm, wonderful Roz Fenton that doesn’t include her deep LOVE for the Pasco County Library System! Roz is truly one of our libraries’ most passionate ambassadors!

Roz became involved with the Hudson Friends after relocating from New York City. In 2016, when the Friends of the Pasco County Libraries was officially established, she became its first Board President—a role she continues to serve in today.

Over the past ten years, Roz has accomplished so much! An avid lover of music and the arts, she was instrumental in bringing the first musical concerts to our libraries. Among her many notable contributions is the Chopin Project, which brings outstanding classical pianists to perform in our community.

Roz is also a gifted speaker and enthusiastic advocate for the Friends. Whether she’s meeting with public officials, presenting to local business groups and community organizations, or chatting with neighbors in the checkout line, she’s always spreading the word about our libraries. In fact, Roz is known for leaving informational pamphlets wherever she goes!

Before retiring, Roz spent more than 20 years as the Director of Court Services for the Pasco County Clerk of the Circuit Court. Her commitment to serving others extends well beyond the library community. She has volunteered with Big Sisters, served as a Guardian ad Litem, and contributed her time and talents to numerous other boards throughout our community.

Sean McGarvey, Director of the Pasco County Library System, aptly describes Roz as a “one-woman army of community focus.” Her passion, dedication, and tireless advocacy have made an extraordinary difference for our libraries and the community they serve. We are incredibly fortunate to have Roz championing the Friends and the Pasco County Library System!
