When I tell my dogs to do something and they do it, I say thank you. Does anybody else thank their dogs for doing what they’re asked?

I have a real regret about something I didn’t think to do when I started rescuing dachshunds in 1998. I should have kept a journal. 🙁. Every single dog I took in has a story. I should have written their name, their ages, and why they came into rescue and where and how they were adopted. AND IF I HAD I WOULD HAVE WRITTEN A BOOK. Really sorry I didn’t think of it back then, but who knew how long and how many dogs I would rescue.
