Grace Village is a program sponsored by Zhanjiang Kids Organization. It is a group of individual foster homes that provides care for those children who simply cannot thrive in an orphanage setting. Some may or may not ever be adopted. Their health is stable, but yet their needs are many. We lovingly call them "the least". Our goal is simply to love them with no agenda. They are in desperate need o
f one-on-one attention in a loving, family environment. Our homes are small in nature (6-9 children per home) and have the feel of a home with house parent(s) and a few support staff for cleaning, cooking and any extra hands the family may need. The program will eventually expand into a support system for the teens who are aging out of the system, providing technical training, life skills, mentoring and employment assistance. Zhanjiang Kids Organization will continue to run the programs inside the orphanage for as many years as we are permitted. But what we've learned over the past seven years is that there are always going to be those children who just cannot thrive, no matter what type of program we offer. What they really need is a family and a whole lot of love and care to help their thrive. That is the mission for Grace Village. Meeting the needs of the least of these.
