Spring Garden Church Fathers In The Field

A couple weeks ago we took our annual trip to .haft with the boys, we had a great time turkey hunting, fishing, hanging out around the campfire, even found time to play a game of wiffle ball, the weather was perfect, the fish were biting and we managed to score on several nice gobblers, it was a great time for all! A huge thanks to .haft for having us use their property, this place has been an incredible blessing to the ministry of Fathers in the Field and the many boys involved over the last 10 years, also a huge thanks to our cooks who did an incredible job, and above all we thank the Good Lord for places like this to get away from the craziness of life and enjoy His creation in the great outdoors!!

A couple weeks ago we had signing ceremonies for brothers Gabriel and Geovanni, we are excited to see the Lord work in these boys as we walk with them, thanks Marlin Lapp and Marlin Miller for your mentoring commitment, please keep these boys and their mentors in your prayers as they start this new and exciting journey

It's the time of year when we are gearing up for our annual FITF sportsman dinner/ fundraiser, tickets go on sale tomorrow morning at 5:00 am, tickets are limited and usually sell out in about 15 minutes, if you're interested in tickets call one of the numbers on the flyer, do not text or leave a voicemail, keep trying until you get through or we sell out, unfortunately with the high demand we cannot guarantee tickets

As fi****ms deer season comes to a close and we enter the Christmas season, we reflect on the many awesome memories created in the deer woods this season, several of the field buddies were successful in harvesting bucks, but even greater than the harvest itself is simply the time spent with mentor and field buddy in God's great outdoors, sometimes we get so caught up in the pursuit of the harvest that we almost forget that success is every time we get to spend time with our field buddies and get the opportunity to speak life and share the gospel with them, at the end of the day , that is what really matters, and yes the excitement of harvesting a nice buck is icing on the cake 😃 many memories were made that will last a lifetime, thanks to each mentor for investing in the life of a boy, and thanks to each one who has supported this ministry over the years, whether financially, through prayer or just an encouraging word for the boys , we are forever grateful, may y'all have a Merry Christmas and a blessed new year
