Lancaster Chapter of Delta Waterfowl Delta Waterfowl provides knowledge, leaders and science-based solutions that efficiently conserve waterfowl and secure the future for waterfowl hunting.

THE DREAM
We look to the morning skies, awaiting the sight of dark images of locked up wings and feet down over our spread. Our ears are tuned in to the breeze at our backs, hoping to hear the sound of a lonely bird returning our call. In the past, this dream was easy to come by. Stories of days gone by are all we have left. Our wetlands are rapidly disappearing and the fall flight numbers are following in suit. As hunters, we need to act now in order to save our wetlands and waterfowl. Delta Waterfowl is a great way to start making these changes. It is our hope to preserve the traditions of hunting and waterfowling for our children and future generations. Please join the fight to make this dream a reality! Mission Statement

Hunters and their families joining together to preserve the future of waterfowling for all to enjoy in years to come The Lancaster Chapter of Delta Waterfowl represents a new way of conservation which will make a difference in our local community. It is an organization of hunters supporting hunting. It is a science-based group focused on building better waterfowl production through nesting and habitat preservation. Twenty-five percent of all funds raised will be returned to the community where we live and hunt Specifically, these funds will be used for stream and river clean-up, wood duck boxes, hen houses, education of youth, and hunts for youth and handicapped individuals

Please take some time to watch this video. This program was born right here with the Lancaster Chapter, spearheaded by an idea from our Senior Regional Director. When Matt debuted the program at last year’s Expo, it gained traction across all of Delta Waterfowl with plans to expand to other areas. Not only does Delta Waterfowl fight for waterfowl, duck hunters and conservation, but they continue to break down barriers to the outdoors, showing that it truly is for everyone!!

A little preseason mentoring took place today. One of our keystone programs is the long term mentoring that our chapter is so proud of. We don’t just take people out for their first duck hunt and drop it. We MAKE duck hunters out of them. Today, a few of our mentors took out one of our new members to show him the ropes on building a blind. He pitched in and learned a lot. Teaching these mentees about more than just the hunt helps get them hooked on waterfowling for life!! Oh, and the labor is always helpful too 😉😂🦆

This weekend, Andi Fellows attended the 2026 Delta Waterfowl Expo to showcase an environmental conservation program she developed in partnership with Delta Waterfowl, providing our IU 13 students with hands-on environmental stewardship learning experiences.
While at the Expo, Andi was also honored as the 2026 Educator of the Year! 🎉
We are excited to continue this partnership and create even more engaging outdoor learning opportunities for our students in the future!
