4-H Shotgun SPIN
When: Mondays, June 15, 22, 29 and July 13 and 20 | 5:00 to 7:00pm
For: youth 4-H age 14+ (must be 14 on or before January 1, 2026)

These archers braved the wind, cold and rain for a morning on the archery course! Thankfully the weather let off just enough for us to get through the shoot. About half of our archers, it was their first time on the course and the other more experienced archers continued to make progress on their skills of gauging distances and stability. Great work by all and HUGE thank you to CJRAL for hosting us!

Yesterday the Belknap County YLT in collaboration with Chester JRAL 4-H, Belknap County Sportsmen’s Club and NH 4-H Shooting Sports Teen Leaders hosted an intro to archery experience for local youth. Thank you to everyone who volunteered and donated to this event. We had many enthusiastic youth participate and improve each time they stepped on the line!

Calling all 4-H Archers! Let's get together for a statewide 4-H 3D Archery Shoot! This will be a great introduction to 3D Archery for our 4-H youth.

Does a conference that ends with a day a on the range get any better? It’s not very often volunteers get be the activity participants. It was pleasure to make that happen today for this amazing group of new and experienced 4-H Volunteers. Everyone walked away today with something to bring back to their programs and I cannot wait to see it put into action!

This past weekend, nine new 4-H Level 1 Shotgun Instructors earned their certification. They’re all eager to now be able to now be able offer the shotgun discipline as a part of their programs. Great work everyone and thank you for all that you do to empower our 4-H youth! Huge THANK YOU to our our 4-H Level 2 Instructor, Joe Downey, and our host club and RSO at Winnipesauke Sportsmen’s Club.

To keep safety at the forefront, remember M-A-T:
M - Always keep the muzzle pointed in a safe direction
A - Always keep the action open and empty till you are ready to shoot
T - Always keep your finger off the trigger till you are ready to shoot
