This semester, Phi Sigma Pi Chapters across the country made a difference in their local communities through service and philanthropy. 💜

🐾 Beta Kappa Chapter at Clemson University hosted "Paws for a Purpose" to support the Oconee Humane Society.

📚 Zeta Iota Chapter at Saint Joseph's University donated three boxes of books to the Philly Book Bank.

🥫 Gamma Gamma Chapter at Georgia Southern University volunteered with the Statesboro Food Bank.

Thank you to these Chapters for living out Phi Sigma Pi's commitment to service and making a positive impact in their communities.

This summer, we’re celebrating Phi Sigma Pi Members who are gaining hands-on experience in their future careers. ☀️

Ashlyn Cate Turner (Gamma Omicron ’24), a Senior Chemical Engineering major and current Chapter President, is interning as a Process Engineer at Imerys, where she works on calcium carbonate purification processes.

Ashlyn credits Phi Sigma Pi with helping her develop the leadership skills and confidence that have supported her success both on campus and in the workplace.

This Military Appreciation Month, we’re proud to spotlight Melanie Duckstein (University of North Carolina at Pembroke ‘26), whose journey reflects a lifelong commitment to leadership, service, and personal growth. 💜

After more than 24 years of honorable service as an Army warrant officer, Melanie returned to college to pursue a degree in criminal justice with a minor in terrorism studies. As a non-traditional student, she brings leadership, discipline, and real-world experience to her academic journey while continuing her lifelong commitment to scholarship, fellowship, and personal growth.

“Transitioning out of the Army wasn’t just about leaving a profession. It was about redefining who I am and where I’m going next.”
