Camp Cadet of Lancaster County is an overnight summer camp for children from 11-14 years old from Lancaster and York Counties. The goal is to introduce participants to the diverse criminal justice system and establish a positive relationship with law enforcement personnel. Our camp provides kids with an understanding of law enforcement activities while living in an atmosphere similar to an actual State Police Academy. At Camp Cadet emphasis is placed on teaching cadets teamwork and the benefits of making good decisions. All the camp counselors are PA State Troopers or local police officers. This is not a discipline camp or a scared straight program. Camp Cadet of Lancaster County is a non-profit organization governed by a civilian board of directors. Camp Cadet of Lancaster County is a FREE summer camp for all participants. Camp is funded entirely through corporate and individual donations.
