The Lancaster County Young Professionals Network is now accepting applications and nominations for two exciting opportunities:

🏆 Top 10 Under 40 Award
This Chamber tradition recognizes 10 outstanding young professionals who are making a positive impact through their leadership, professional achievements, and community involvement in Lancaster County.

🎓 Leadership Lancaster Scholarship
This scholarship is awarded to a young professional who is eager to grow as a leader but whose employer or organization is unable to cover the cost of the Leadership Lancaster program tuition (valued at over $800).

Both the Top 10 Under 40 Nomination Form and the Leadership Lancaster Scholarship Application are now open online, and winners will be announced at the NEW Young Professionals Summer Soirée in August!

We are excited to collaborate with leaders and officials of Lancaster County Government and See Lancaster SC to launch a new Advocacy After Hours Series. These free community events will give local business leaders the opportunity to casually connect and engage with local officials while building meaningful relationships that help strengthen and guide the voice of Lancaster County’s business community.

Please join us for the first event on June 4th at the Lancaster County Airport ✈️ for an evening of connection, conversation, and community as we bring together Lancaster County’s local business leaders and government officials. This special networking event is designed to encourage collaboration, strengthen relationships, and create meaningful conversations about the future of our community.

The evening will include a brief presentation introducing local elected officials and community leaders, followed by time to mix, mingle, and build valuable connections. By bringing together the public and private sectors, we can continue working together to make Lancaster County the best place to live, work, and do business.

Light refreshments and soft drinks will be provided. We look forward to seeing you there!

The Young Professionals Network is excited to launch a brand new event — the Lancaster County Young Professionals Awards! ✨🏆

This year’s celebration, Under the Stars: Summer Night Soirée 💫, will recognize and celebrate outstanding young professionals from across Lancaster County.

Beginning June 1, nominations will officially open for the Top 10 Under 40 Awards, giving the community the opportunity to recognize young leaders making an impact across our county. The Young Professionals Committee will also award the recipient of the Leadership Lancaster Young Professionals Scholarship during the event, with scholarship applications opening June 1 as well.

Tickets will be available soon, so stay tuned for more details!

Our first YP Network event of the year was a great success! Young Professionals connected with USC Lancaster students through engaging roundtable discussions focused on real-world workforce preparation.

Topics included interviewing skills, building a strong professional presence, and using the STAR method.

A special thank you to YP Committee member Jeff Ramage for helping make this event possible, and to Bridget Plexico for facilitating a great conversation guide!

Our 2026 Young Professionals Committee kicked off the year with their first meeting today, and we are so excited about what’s ahead for the 2026 Young Professionals Network!

Big ideas are already in motion as we plan a year full of meaningful connections, fresh opportunities, and moments that will help young professionals grow both personally and professionally.

From engaging professional development events and hands-on learning experiences to a can’t-miss Summer Soirée and another Leadership Lancaster Scholarship opportunity, 2026 is shaping up to be a year of momentum.

SC Works will be partnering with USCL's Indian Land location to provide a full two-day service of job search support. On Thursday, there will be a workshop on how to setup your resume to get through Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), networking at job fairs, and will have a local recruiter there to give their perspective on how to make yourself stand out as a candidate. On Friday from 10a-1pm, we will host a job fair to put you in front of local employers hiring, and will have an "application station" to offer hands-on assistance with applying for positions offered there, or for any of the new major retailers coming to Indian Land (Costco, Target, Lowe's Foods)!
