🗣 Words shape the way we see people—and how they see themselves.

At Timelist, we believe reentry starts with respect. That’s why we say “formerly incarcerated person” instead of ex-convict, and “community member” instead of inmate. Because every person is more than their worst moment.

Language can either limit or liberate. Let’s choose words that open doors.

As Founder and Executive Director of Timelist Group, Yusef Wiley is drawing closer to a significant transition: beginning the process of identifying the organization’s next Executive Director while thoughtfully preparing for his own next chapter.

This isn’t about stepping away from the mission. It’s about ensuring the mission is bigger than any one person.
