ORCA'S primary goal is to rescue any ill, injured, or in-distress animal, in Lancaster County. This is why donations are so VITALLY important.

It is the purpose of ORCA to respond 24 hours a day to emergencies, and to provide support to police, fire, and other emergency personnel when they are dealing with situations that involve animals. ORCA does not routinely handle healthy stray animals and wildlife, nor does it routinely shelter animals. Please bear in mind that ORCA is currently the ONLY group in Lancaster County that provides emergency services 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year to help our area animals, free of charge!! If you would like to send us a monetary donation, please check out our website. We also routinely update our Amazon Wish-List with our currents needs for the office. If you would like to drop it off personally, please call our hotline to set up a time to do so. Amazon Wish-List

Rocky went home!! 🎉🎉

Finding the right home for such a special species isn't always easy but we are confident his new owner will give him everything he needs from love to hay to room to hop and binkie.

Rocky, keep your new momma on her toes and keep on hopping 🤍🖤🤍

While these 2 are litter box trained, bathroom etiquette is not a skill set they possess. What the picture doesn't include is the animated conversation that was taking place.

Marine 🩶🩶
Buster 🖤🤍

Both are adoptable!

Special needs foster home search!

Most animal rehabilitations are handled in house by our staff. However, we currently have a stubborn case that is not healing as fast as we had hoped due to a variety of things. Medically we are doing as much as we can for him.

He is a very loving and affectionate older boy. He wants nothing more than to be held and pet by humans. He has been on cage rest for such a long time. He deserves to get a reprieve but he cannot afford any slack in his medical care.

His name is Axl.
He is FIV positive . He has a wound that needs special attention and care multiple times a day.

If you have the time and space it takes to get this sweet older boy back on his feet please click the link below and fill out the foster application. Our Animal Care Coordinator will be in touch to see if your home would be a match.

Columbo here! Just want to wish everyone a happy Saturday!
And take a moment to show off my least favorite T-shirt. I keep trying to get out of it but the humans say I have to wear these goofy things because I keep scratching my armpit wound open. 😼
Does anyone else's human make them wear these things? Please say I'm not the only one!
They are atrocious in my feline fashion opinion but they are working. My wound is slowly closing up. Paws crossed that it will only be a few more weeks till I can be au naturel 🐾

Swirley is getting stronger every day! He is still loving his gifted bed 💤 His wound has closed up nicely on the outside. He needs a little more rest before he can be given more room to roam. Thank you all so much for the prayers and healing vibes 💙🧡💙

We were super excited to receive a donation of an XL crate!! We have a little orange baby girl named Sue who will be so happy for the bigger space to finish her recovery in.

In the meantime Buster will be enjoying his favorite part of the donation 💤

💌 Swirley Got Mail! 🐾📦

Look what arrived for our sweet fighter Swirley! 🥹💙

One of Swirley’s supporters took the time to handcraft this beautiful bed just for him, complete with his very own little sunflower. 🌻 And as you can see… Swirley approves. 🐱

There is something extra special about a handmade gift. Someone spent their own time, talent, and love creating a soft, cozy place for Swirley to rest while he continues his recovery, and we are incredibly grateful.

For an animal who has already been through so much, these little comforts matter. A warm bed, a safe place to rest, a full belly, and people rooting for him are all part of helping him heal. ❤️‍🩹

Thank you for loving Swirley right along with us and for giving him a little extra comfort during his recovery. We think he looks pretty darn cozy in his new bed. 🥰

From all of us at ORCA…and especially Swirley, thank you for this incredibly thoughtful gift! 💙🐾

P.S. Swirley would like everyone to know that he takes his role as official bed tester very seriously. 😹
