Elevate. Equip. Empower.

We don’t start with handouts.
We start with people.

We elevate vision and dignity.
We equip with skills, mindset & opportunity.
We empower leaders who transform families, then communities.

This isn’t charity.
It’s a long game with generational returns.

Transformation isn’t accidental.
It’s built ~ one person at a time.

One team. One vision. — Team Moja dira moja.
What started as a team-building day turned into something so much deeper.
We laughed until our stomachs hurt, stepped out of our comfort zones, and discovered sides of each other we’d never seen before.
It wasn’t just about games or activities it was about breaking down barriers, building trust, and realizing that when we move together, everything becomes possible.
We’re not just colleagues.
We’re a family with one goal, one heartbeat, and one shared direction moja dira moja.
Here’s to more growth, more connection, and a future we’re building side by side.

This is what our IT learners are currently doing practicing on their laptops as they wait for Face 2 of their next class.

In the meantime, they’re also preparing to give back by teaching children in neighboring schools about basic computer literacy especially in schools where computers and laptops are not available.

Meet Fred Kamau, our Projects and Discipleship Coordinator. He identifies community needs and challenges, then helps shape programmes that bring real solutions. Fred mentors local youth and guides them through God’s Word. With training in mental health and psychology, he offers wise and compassionate support. He loves reading about the human mind, and his favourite verse is Proverbs 4:23 – “Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.”

Fred believes this truth deeply: Mentoring begins with the heart, grows through the mind, and blossoms through God’s Word. By nurturing the inner life, he empowers others to thrive outwardly spiritually, emotionally, and practically. #

A DAY TO REMEMBER

This week, our Empower Hope Leadership Center team had the incredible privilege of standing side by side with fellow changemakers for a day of meaningful community service, right here in the neighborhood we call home.
But this wasn’t just a clean-up day.
It was a day of planting..planting seeds of hope, healing, and responsibility.
We planted trees, shared meals, and opened our hearts in conversations about justice, restoration, and compassion. Every tree placed in the soil wasn’t just about the environment, it was a prayer for the future. A hope for deeper roots, cleaner air, and generations who will grow up surrounded by care, kindness, and beauty. The day reminded us that small acts done in unity can heal a community.

We’re so grateful for the organizations that joined us, each one bringing something beautiful to the table:
• Glee Hotel – who nourished both body and spirit with food and water
• SHOFCO – lifting up slum communities through education, clean water, and empowerment
• R.Y.S.A (Runda Youth Sports Association)
• Probation Department – reminding us justice can look like restoration
• Cheleta Primary – our neighborhood’s bright future
• Climate Works / Kazi Mtaani
• Friends of Karura
• Green Army – faithful stewards of creation
• Food Banking – bridging the gap between plenty and poverty
• NYS (National Youth Service)

Empower Hope knows that faith without action is empty, so we rolled up our sleeves and planted hope as we walked in love.
And we believe that these simple things can empower hope.

“My name is Samson Juma, and I’m proud to be an Empower Hope Ambassador.

I joined Empower Hope in 2020 after completing high school, full of dreams but unsure how I’d take the next step. I had learned about Empower Hope through a friend and a few of the mentors who already had some idea of my background and the goals I was reaching for.

Through their training programs, I was equipped with tools to grow not just academically, but personally and spiritually. After the training, Empower Hope supported me through university by covering my tuition, something I wouldn’t have been able to afford on my own.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, they also stood with my family by providing food support and walking with me throughout my four-year university journey. That level of care went far beyond academics, it reminded me that I was not alone.

Today, I’m proud to say I’ve graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Education, specializing in Mathematics and Business Studies. I truly see Empower Hope as both family and a life-changing support system.

To anyone wondering whether hope makes a difference — I’m living proof that it does.”

Samson Mwinamu Juma, Empower Hope Ambassador
