This past Wednesday night, we celebrated the 31st anniversary of the Gift of Life Organ Donor Program Support Group of Lancaster/ Lebanon Counties. On hand to celebrate was Dave Baltzer, husband of founder Laurie Baltzer, a nurse and candidate for lung transplants, which she never received. She passed away in 2005.
In the pictures, one is of our cake, provided by Mrs. Nancy Hess, wife of 18 yrs liver transplant recipient Paul Hess. The other one includes Jay Kline 18 yrs liver transplant, Dave Baltzer, holding our cake, and me, Al Weibel, a 19 yrs heart transplant recipient. Also in attendance was Hannah Summers, a Donor Mom! GOD is great and, thanks to organ donors, we were blessed with a second chance at life. Enjoy and Celebrate Life!

What a blessing

"In July 2017, I received the gift of life... I was blessed to receive the gift of a new liver. To say I'm lucky is a HUGE understatement. I couldn't have gotten where I am today without my donor, her family, and my one-of-a-kind, unicorn tribe. Everyone has had an impact on my recovery. I am so blessed to be HERE and present, and watch my little Odin grow up...every single day is truly a gift. Thankful. Grateful. Blessed." - Andrea I., Ephrata, PA 🌻💙💚
