Thanks to the generous support from United Way of Lebanon County, more girls will get the chance to see how strong, capable, and limitless they really are.

Over the next two seasons, this funding will help Girls on the Run Lancaster-Lebanon support 10 teams in Lebanon County, reaching 120 to 150 girls each year. It will provide healthy snacks, curriculum materials, activity supplies, and resources for practice 5Ks. These investments ensure every girl can take part in the full Girls on the Run experience, which builds confidence, fosters connection, strengthens leadership skills, and reminds girls that their voices matter.

Together, we are building a future where every girl feels empowered to dream big, face challenges, and make a positive difference in her community.

We had a wonderful evening celebrating the amazing coaches who make Girls on the Run Lancaster-Lebanon possible.

Last night, we came together at for our annual Shining Light Coach Award Celebration. We enjoyed a great dinner from , had meaningful conversations, and spent time with the dedicated volunteers who give so much to our participants each season.

Congratulations to our 2026 Shining Light Coach Award winner, Danielle Ferry, from the Bear Creek Elementary Girls on the Run team. Danielle shows the spirit of this award through her kindness, leadership, encouragement, and strong commitment to helping every participant find their confidence and potential.

Thank you to all our coaches for being role models, cheerleaders, listeners, and champions for our girls. Thanks to you, girls across Lancaster and Lebanon counties have a place where they belong, build friendships, and discover just how strong they are.

Congratulations, Danielle, and thank you to every coach who keeps shining a light for our girls.

Girls today are facing rising stress, increasing pressure, and declining confidence, often without the support they need to thrive. At the same time, only 16% of girls ages 6–17 get the recommended 60 minutes of daily physical activity.

That’s why Girls on the Run Lancaster-Lebanon matters.

At GOTR Lancaster-Lebanon, we combine physical activity with intentional lessons and supportive coaching to help girls build confidence, strengthen their voices, and develop skills that last far beyond the finish line.

Congratulations to former Girls on the Run participant Vivian Salerno on an incredible achievement, bringing home STATE GOLD in the 800-meter with an amazing time of 2:08.61!
