On 9/11/2026 we remember those who lost their lives. It's been 25 years ago we suffered unimaginable losses as a nation. The FDNY lost 343 firefighters that day and the decade since we have continued to lose even more to the World Trade Center related illnesses.
We renew the promise we made a quarter of a century ago, one we will keep for generations to come. We will never forget...🇺🇲 😥

VOLUNTEER FIREFIGHTER'S NEEDED:

Elgin Fire and Rescue needs you. We are an all volunteer fire department.

Becoming a volunteer firefighter won't be the easiest thing you've ever done, but it will be one of the most rewarding. Volunteer firefighting gives you the chance to serve your neighbors in a way that most people can't. At Elgin Volunteer Fire Rescue, we take our responsibility to the community very seriously. Fighting fires is exciting and fulfilling for those who serve, but it can mean the difference between life and death for the people we help. For more infor.ation call 803-283-8888 or drop by the station at 114 Tram Road the first or third Tuesday of each month at 7 PM or email us at [email protected] with questions.
