Lancaster County Food Hub

Lancaster County Food Hub We provide free food, clothing, and support services to help our Lancaster neighbors thrive.

Since 1947, the Lancaster County Food Hub, formally the Lancaster County Council of Churches, has served the most needy and marginalized members in our community as well as the working poor struggling to make ends meet. The overarching goal of our organization is to help fill the gap for these individuals and families by providing services that positively impact the basic human needs of food, clot

hing, and shelter. In 2014, our organization had a vision to expand our mission of service so as to positively impact significantly more individuals and families. That vision came to fruition with the purchasing and renovation of a 27,000 square foot warehouse that would serve as the counties largest free food and clothing resource.

📣A huge thank you to the K&S Games and Pace-O-Matic volunteer team!

This amazing group brought the muscle to our Clothing Bank, helping restock several racks of women's clothing and keeping the space organized and welcoming for neighbors. To top it off, they presented a super generous donation to support our mission and the neighbors we serve.

Thank you for rolling up your sleeves, giving back, and making a heartfelt difference in our community!

🎉Welcome to the Lancaster community, Uptown Cheapskate Lancaster! 🎉 .pa

We’re excited about this new partnership with a retailer that makes it easy to give clothing a second life. Bring in your gently used clothes, shoes, and accessories for cash or store credit. Items not accepted can be donated directly to the Lancaster County Food Hub Clothing Bank, helping local neighbors access the essentials they need. (if you choose and we hope you do!)

It’s a simple way to declutter, shop sustainably, and give back to the community all at the same time. ❤️
Grand Opening to shop is June 11-14 in the Rockvale Outlets.

🍽️Community meals are more than a plate of food. They are neighbors caring for neighbors. In moments when isolation exists and food insecurity persists, these meals create connection, dignity, and belonging around a shared table.

The Lancaster Hub is honored to support community meal partners with free food that helps stretch limited budgets further. From proteins and produce to pantry staples and desserts. Because of these partnerships, more neighbors can gather for a warm meal, meaningful conversation, and the reminder that they are not alone. ❤️Pictured: Volunteers from Grace Lutheran Church.

🌱🍅Our gardens are beginning to come together because of our amazing volunteers! Growing fresh, nutritious vegetables and herbs to be harvested for the community and included in food orders because fresh is best! From crisp cucumbers and juicy tomatoes to flavorful herbs, these gardens are helping bring healthy, local food directly to neighbors experiencing food insecurity. ❤️

If you have excess produce in your own garden, please consider sharing with us! Donations accepted at

📣Shoutout to RKL for their very generous contribution of 50 Outreach Center Welcome Kits for men and women as part of their annual team-building day of giving back.

Rooted in their mission to enrich the lives of their clients, team, and communities, the RKL team assembled kits filled with essential personal care items including new underwear, socks, shampoo, soap, toothbrushes, toothpaste, deodorant, sunscreen, lip balm, and other hygiene products.

These Welcome Kits are often one of the very first ways we connect with unsheltered neighbors visiting our outreach center. More than just supplies, they help build relationships, dignity, trust, and a sense of being welcomed and cared for.

Thank you, RKL, for helping our neighbors feel seen, valued, and well-supported! ❤️

The newly released 2026 Point-in-Time Count identified 665 individuals experiencing homelessness across Lancaster County in a single night this January — the highest number recorded since 2009. Unsheltered families with children and neighbors living outside saw significant increases, reflecting the growing impact of rising housing, food, and utility costs, along with a shortage of affordable housing.

At the Lancaster Hub’s Outreach Center, these realities are seen every day — but so is hope. Through food, clothing, supportive services, and connection to amazing community partners, neighbors experiencing housing instability and homelessness are met with dignity, compassion, and pathways forward. ❤️

🌱🧤 Not afraid to play in the dirt? These LCBC Church volunteers sure weren’t!

From mulching and beautifying our outdoor spaces to sorting food and packing dry bags inside the warehouse, this amazing crew rolled up their sleeves and brought the energy.

Because of volunteers like these, the Lancaster County Food Hub is ready for another growing season in the community garden — and ready to welcome neighbors with fresh opportunities to grow. ❤️

Thank you for making the inside and outside of the Hub shine!
