Lancaster County Food Hub We provide free food, clothing, and support services to help our Lancaster neighbors thrive.

Since 1947, the Lancaster County Food Hub, formally the Lancaster County Council of Churches, has served the most needy and marginalized members in our community as well as the working poor struggling to make ends meet. The overarching goal of our organization is to help fill the gap for these individuals and families by providing services that positively impact the basic human needs of food, clot

hing, and shelter. In 2014, our organization had a vision to expand our mission of service so as to positively impact significantly more individuals and families. That vision came to fruition with the purchasing and renovation of a 27,000 square foot warehouse that would serve as the counties largest free food and clothing resource.

The calendar says summer, but apparently pumpkin spice season didn’t get the memo! From lattes to candles to just about everything in between, pumpkin spice is officially making its annual comeback.

And here at the Hub, we’re ready to embrace all the cozy fall vibes—while remembering that every season is a good season to support our Lancaster neighbors.

The Wegmans Fill the Bus campaign brought together the generosity of employees and customers, turning community donations into food for Lancaster neighbors. Every contribution adds up to something bigger: neighbors helping neighbors and a community making sure no one has an empty table.

Donations from community gardens like the recent donation from makes a differences in the food received by neighbors. Peppers, squash, eggplant, cucumber, tomatoes and more bring the goodness of fresh garden produce.

Fresh produce can be expensive, but generous local growers, private gardens, and community partners help make it possible for families to enjoy nutritious, delicious food—free of charge.

is a fabulous, supportive organization in more ways than one! Sarah (left) collects and distributes bras to organizations like the Lancaster Hub’s Clothing Bank. And let’s be honest—bras are expensive! 💰

Thanks to the generous support of the WellSpan Health Foundation, more neighbors will be able to find foods that reflect their cultural backgrounds and family traditions. This grant helps provide culturally specific food options, ensuring that individuals and families from our diverse community feel welcomed, respected, and seen when they visit the Lancaster Food Hub. ❤️

🎁Some of the most meaningful gifts come from those who truly understand the journey. Not long ago, one of our neighbors turned to the Hub's Outreach Navigators, Doug and Justina, for support during a difficult season. With guidance, encouragement, and determination, he found stable housing and got back on his feet.

Recently, he came back—not because he needed help, but because he wanted to help someone else.

His donation? Brand-new socks and underwear for unsheltered neighbors visiting the Outreach Center. Generosity comes full-circle with these gifts.
