Lancaster Hub The Lancaster Hub is a doorway to dignity, hope, and stability.

Since 1947, the Lancaster County Food Hub, formally the Lancaster County Council of Churches, has served the most needy and marginalized members in our community as well as the working poor struggling to make ends meet. The overarching goal of our organization is to help fill the gap for these individuals and families by providing services that positively impact the basic human needs of food, clothing, and shelter. In 2014, our organization had a vision to expand our mission of service so as to positively impact significantly more individuals and families. That vision came to fruition with the purchasing and renovation of a 27,000 square foot warehouse that would serve as the counties largest free food and clothing resource.

🧥 A warm coat. A genuine smile. A little more comfort when the cold sets in. ❤️

The smiles were ear to ear! The Outreach Center neighbors selected winter coats today. With colder weather predicted this weekend, a warm coat can make a real difference for someone facing life without stable housing.

Can you help us keep our neighbors warm?

We’re especially in need of men’s and women’s coats in sizes L, XL, 2XL, and 3XL. New or clean, gently used coats are gratefully accepted. Thank you for your generosity!

From a plain, beige lobby to a colorful, welcoming space where neighbors feel respected and supported! ❤️💛💙💚

Thanks to the High Foundation's tremendous generosity, the lobby is transformed! Bright colors, welcoming touches, and thoughtful details guide neighbors to the support they need and create a comfortable space.

Sometimes, a change in space can make a world of difference. We’re so grateful for partners who help make that possible!

❤️ Every donation helps put good food on the tables of our neighbors!

During this season of giving, please check expiration dates and the condition of cans before donating. When we receive expired food or badly dented cans, we throw them out, which costs the Lancaster Hub extra waste removal fees.

Pictured is a shopping cart FULL of donated and expired food.

Thank you for helping us make every donation count!

✨ Dreaming big. Thinking ahead. Building what’s next.

Our board and staff came together to begin building the framework for Lancaster Hub’s strategic plan through 2032.

The day was filled with great questions, thoughtful conversations, big-picture visioning, and plenty of dreams for the future. We challenged ourselves to think beyond today, explore what’s possible, and imagine how Lancaster Hub can continue meeting the changing needs of our community.

No final answers yet. Just an engaged group of people asking the right questions, sharing ideas, listening, dreaming, and laying the groundwork for what comes next.

The future is taking shape, one thoughtful conversation at a time. ❤️
