Early morning start for the company 7 volunteers. E7-1 and Rescue 7 were dispatched to assist Company 90 on a reported structure fire. E7-1 arrived second due and secured the water supply for E67. October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and we’re proud to kick it off by continuing our Pink Patch Project fundraiser! 🩷

Iron Ridge Fire Rescue and the West Hempfield Township Police Department have teamed up to raise funds for the Susan H. Arnold Center for Breast Health, supporting important breast health services right here in our community.

Yesterday afternoon we received notice that the LSA grant that was submitted as a joint municipal application between West Hempfield Township and Mountville Borough, PA was awarded! This grant will allow us to upgrade the key card system at the Mountville station (Station 2), add keycard readers to the remaining doors at the West Hempfield station (Station 1) and to add Station 2 to the existing control system at Station 1. This project was quoted at just over $160k for all of the work. This project will allow us to better protect the assets at both stations, while allowing us to grant access to all of our members at both stations. PA State Rep. Brett Miller has always been an advocate and big supporter of the first responder community and this is just another example of his selfless work for the emergency services in his district.

This morning, Junior FF. Ethan Warfel participated in the annual Lancaster PA 9-11 Memorial Stair Climb, honoring the 343 firefighters who made the ultimate sacrifice on September 11, 2001.

Each step serves as a reminder of their courage, sacrifice, and dedication to others.

We are proud of Ethan for taking part in this meaningful tradition and joined fellow first responders in ensuring their memory lives on.

We climb because they climbed. We remember because we will never forget. 🇺🇸

What an amazing evening!

A huge thank you to everyone who came out to our Safety & Wellness Event tonight! We loved seeing so many members of our community come out, visit our vendors, meet our crews, and spend the evening with us.

And the night isn’t over yet!

Our special guest speaker, Mr. Jim, a retired FDNY firefighter who served during 9/11, will be speaking at 7:45 PM. We are incredibly honored to have him with us tonight to share his story.
