Join us for Building Belonging: A Faith Community Summit on Housing
When: Saturday, October 24
Time: 9:00 AM–4:00 PM
Where: Highland Presbyterian Church
Free to attend!

Faith leaders, congregational leaders, and engaged members will come together to learn more about Lancaster County’s housing challenges and explore the many ways faith communities can respond.

Your congregation doesn’t have to be ready to build housing to be part of the solution. Participants will hear from congregations and community partners already taking action, explore different pathways for engagement, and consider what might be possible in their own faith communities.

The day will feature keynote speaker Rev. Dr. John Cleghorn, local housing context, panel conversations, and opportunities to connect with others from across Lancaster County.

The August 2026 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) application cycle will open August 17, 2026.

Lancaster County Municipalities and organizations interested in applying for CDBG funding must submit a Letter of Intent by August 31, 2026.

This funding opportunity supports projects that strengthen communities, expand opportunities, and improve quality of life throughout Lancaster County.

Important Dates
• 8/17/2026 - LOI opens
• 8/31/2026 - LOI due EODs
• TBD - Once LOI is submitted a review meeting will be scheduled.
• 10/5/2026 - Full application is due EOD

🏠 Seeking an Energy Auditor / Comprehensive Site Evaluation Partner

The Redevelopment Authority of Lancaster County is seeking qualified vendors to support a first-of-its-kind, county-wide Whole Home Performance (WHP) Program pilot.

We’re looking for a vendor capable of conducting comprehensive site evaluations that bring together home health and safety, structural conditions, and energy efficiency to help develop coordinated rehabilitation plans for homeowners across Lancaster County.

The selected vendor will support approximately 40 homes during the pilot year, with potential for significant program expansion in future years.

🔎 Ideal experience includes:
• Residential inspections and energy audits
• DOE Weatherization Assistance Program (WAP) experience
• BPI or related certifications
• Experience with older and pre-1978 homes
• Energy modeling and diagnostic testing
• Ability to document homes using 360° imaging and other technology
• Strong homeowner communication and customer service
