Lancaster Promise Neighborhood promises to do whatever it takes with the community to make sure every child who lives in the zone has the opportunity for success. The promise is we will be able to look into the eyes of every single parent and say, "We promise that your child is going to have access to high-quality early childhood education. We promise your child will graduate ready and prepared and, if they so desire, they will have resources to attend college and graduate."

What a great way to wrap up another successful school year! 🎉

Our staff at Clinton Elementary, AR Rucker Middle School, and Lancaster High School recently hosted End of the Year Celebrations to recognize and celebrate our incredible scholars for their hard work, growth, and achievements throughout the year.

During each school's lunch period, we transformed the space into a celebration where scholars could enjoy pizza, drinks, and snacks while spending time with their peers and staff. More importantly, it was an opportunity to intentionally celebrate their accomplishments and acknowledge the dedication they showed all year long.
We are so proud of every scholar who successfully completed another school year. Whether they reached academic goals, developed new skills, built friendships, or overcame challenges, each student has something to be proud of.

Thank you to our school staff, partners, and supporters who help make moments like these possible. We hope our scholars enjoy a well-deserved summer break, and we cannot wait to see all they accomplish in the year ahead!

We are thrilled to announce that we are sponsoring 10 full scholarships (LANCASTER LOCATION ONLY) to the Lancaster County Council of the Arts (LCCA) Arts & Sciences Camp this summer! 🎨🧪

This incredible camp is for ages 5–12 and features multiple dates and locations across Lancaster County to make it convenient for everyone:
📍 Lancaster (Scholarship Details Below): June 8–12 (Covenant Baptist Church)
📍 Indian Land: June 15–19 (Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church)
📍 Kershaw: June 22–26 (First Baptist Church)
📍 Buford: July 13–17 (Bethlehem Baptist Church)

The countdown is on for another unforgettable summer with Good in the Neighborhood ☀️💙

For the past two years, we’ve had the privilege of creating safe, fun, and meaningful experiences for our scholars and families throughout the community. From pool days and bowling to karate, movies, library programs, and open gym nights, the memories made have been truly special.

As we look back on these amazing moments, we are also excited for what’s ahead. Beginning June 4 through July 31, Lancaster Promise Neighborhood will once again provide FREE activities and programs for our scholars all summer long.

Simply show up a few minutes before the scheduled event and fill out waivers for your scholar and they can attend.

The Retreat Kids Club – (Ages 5-7)
Swimming lessons at Wylie St. Pool - (Ages 3-17)
Lancaster County Library (all ages) but preferably (Ages 5-11)
Tumble and Roll – (Ages 5-12/13)

Crown Cinema, Sunrise Strikes & RC Entertainment, Kenaki Karate, Open Gym, and the Speed U Gym are all ages.

🎨🧪 This summer, learning meets creativity at the USC Lancaster Arts + Sciences Adventure Camp!

Rising 6th through 9th graders will explore hands on activities in geometry, coding, esports, art, gaming, and more while building new skills, friendships, and confidence in a fun college campus environment. From Python programming and fundamental counting principles to NBA2K26, Madden NFL 26, and creative art activities, there is something for every scholar to enjoy.

Lancaster Promise Neighborhood is excited to partner with amazing organizations across our community to provide our scholars and families with fun, engaging, and enriching opportunities all summer long. Every activity and session is completely FREE of charge for our scholars.

We had a meaningful and impactful time attending and tabling at the Mental Health Fair hosted by the Mental Health Awareness Committee of Iota Theta Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated.

Throughout the event, we were able to engage with individuals and families, share valuable information, and connect people to services that support overall well being. It was powerful to see so many organizations come together with a shared mission of education, support, and advocacy around mental health in Lancaster County and surrounding communities.

We are grateful for the opportunity to participate, share in these conversations, and continue building partnerships that uplift and serve our community.
