Today was FULL of blessings!!!
Oh my gosh, today was so wonderful! We started the day off with painting and homemade banana bread. I cannot fully explain what it means to make something or do something that people are so appreciative of. The painting went great, we have an amazing team!, and the building is looking great. When they finished for the day the banana bread was done so they and the staff had a special treat that came about only because there were bananas going bad 🙂. But just like a fresh coat of paint on a building or taking over ripe fruit and making a sweet treat, God can also take our bad stuff and rottenness and use it for His purpose.
After lunch we visited 4 families in the community and blessed them with a food baskets. Two of these families I met in 2023 when I was here the last time. God is so good to us to have given us the opportunity to meet again❤️
Then after dinner tonight we had our worship service here on base. There was a translator for the service but the songs were mostly in another language….but…..as I stood there, listening to the music, listening to the words I didn’t know, seeing people from many different nations….just being still…I could feel the spirit of Jesus all around us. It brought to my mind Psalm 46:10 which says “Be still, and know that I am God! I will be honored by every nation. I will be honored throughout the works.” Tonight I had a very, very small glimpse of this.
We are tired, but it is a good tired and God will give us rest.
