On Tuesday, July 29th, the Lancaster Depew Community Chorus had the honor of performing at Shakespeare in Delaware Park as they celebrate their 50th anniversary season. We performed three selections from our Beyond the Sea concert: “Beyond the Sea,” “Like a River in My Soul,” and “Yellow Submarine,” before SDP’s production of Richard III.
This special performance was made possible through the collaboration between Shakespeare in Delaware Park and Greater Buffalo Friends of Music, whose mission is to provide collaborative, creative, financial, and logistical support for music enrichment throughout the Western New York region. If you’d like to see Richard III, those *free* performances will continue to take place at 7pm every Tue-Sun until August 17th.
We’re deeply grateful to everyone who made this concert possible, especially Joe at GBFOM and Brendan at SDP for their help coordinating the event; the amazing SDP tech crew; our wonderful accompanist Meredith; and all the friends, family, and audience members who joined us on the hill.
