It may be August, but we're already thinking of December!

Donations are currently being accepted for our Annual Auction & Banquet, happening Thursday, Dec. 3 at the Lancaster Moose Lodge.

100% of all proceeds from our live and silent auctions - yes, every dollar! - goes back to supporting our mission to help children and families in Lancaster and Fairfield County. That's emergency shelter from floods and fires, school clothing vouchers, and holiday food boxes, plus other assistance throughout the year.

What are we looking for?

Silent Auction Examples: Gift baskets, bundles, certificates, jewelry, sports merchandise, home decor items.

Live Auction Examples: Experiences (concerts, sports, vacations, "stay-cations"), artwork, large-scale services, artwork, tools, and one-of-a-kind items.

Fellas! We have less than a dozen teams available for the annual Vic Sabo Memorial Men's Golf Tournament supporting the Lancaster-Fairfield County Charity Newsies.

News from the Newsies! 📰🗞️

The Lancaster-Fairfield County Charity Newsies recently supported 825 area children and over 300 local families with school clothing vouchers for the 2026-2027 school year.

A huge thank you to the Terry A. McGhee/Sally J. Grimm Community Fund for providing $25,000 in grant funding to support this year's program, helping us assist an additional 125 students this year!

Special thanks to the Fairfield County Foundation, Fairfield County 2-1-1, and Walmart #3792 in Lancaster for their assistance with this year's program.

Applications for the Charity Newsies Back-to-School Clothing Program are now open!

This program helps ensure that children have the clothing they need to start the school year with confidence and success. Families interested in applying should do so as soon as possible, as applications will be accepted through July 17 or until all available spots have been filled.

On Sunday, 28 teams and 84 ladies took to Pumpkin Vine Golf Course to help support Lancaster and Fairfield County children and families in need! ❤️🏌🏼

One of the only all-women golf outings in ALL of Ohio led to record turnout and tremendous support from the community. Thanks to all of our players, volunteers and sponsors for participating this year. Special thanks to the good folks at Pumpkin Vine for their hospitality too!

Congrats to this year's first-place team, Angie Adrean, Dawn Sayer, and Kristy Young!

Applications for the annual Back To School Clothing Assistance program are officially open through Fairfield County 2-1-1. The Lancaster-Fairfield County Charity Newsies are pleased to provide support for a program that assists hundreds of area students and families in our community.

This year, we are excited to announce that the Newsies have received $25,000 in grant funding through the Fairfield County Foundation and the Terry A. McGhee/Sally J. Grimm Community Fund, providing assistance to an additional 125 local children, on top of the hundreds we already planned to serve. The generosity of this fund allows us to provide more clothing to kids in need.

Please note that the Charity Newsies *do not* handle applications for school clothing assistance. Applications are available at the Fairfield County 2-1-1 office at 108 W. Main St. in Lancaster, or online at fairfieldcounty211.org. Assistance is available on a first-come, first serve basis. Please do not submit personal information via Messenger or other means directly to the Newsies, and contact Fairfield County 2-1-1 for any questions related to applications.

Time is running out!⏰

Premier and dual-sponsorship commitments for the Charity Newsies' Annual Golf Outings are needed by Monday, June 1 in order to produce signage before the women's outing on Sunday, June 14. If your business would like to sponsor BOTH our men's and women's outings this year, please message us or use the contact info in the flyer below. Single sponsorships will still be available for the men's outing after the June 1 deadline.
