This month, we’re taking a moment to recognize those affected by breast cancer, honor those we’ve lost, and stand alongside survivors, patients, and their loved ones.
It’s also a reminder to make your health a priority. Know your risk, stay up to date with recommended screenings, and talk with your healthcare provider about what’s right for you.

Awareness can lead to action, and early detection can make a difference.

Earlier this month, 8 year old Cana threw out the honorary first pitch at a Lancaster Stormers game!

Cana has been battling a brain tumor for most of her life, with countless days spent in the hospital for treatment. Earlier this summer, Cana and her family were gifted a Respite to Virginia Beach through A Week Away.

For one week, they could put the hospital and treatments aside and simply be together. Building sand castles, playing in the pool, and making memories as a family.

We love seeing where a Respite can lead.

Childhood should be filled with bike rides, board games, and being in the moment—not hospital stays. 💛

For children facing cancer, so much of life can become centered around appointments, treatments, and uncertainty. But they’re still kids who deserve time to laugh, play, explore, and simply be with the people they love.

That’s why Respite matters. It allows children and their families to step away from the challenges of illness and make memories together.

Thanks to the generosity of our golfers, sponsors, volunteers, and supporters, the 2026 Caleb Walker Memorial Golf Tournament raised over $255K to provide Respites for families facing life-threatening illnesses.

That means more opportunities to step away from the challenges of illness, reconnect, make memories, and simply enjoy time together.
