We were so thankful to welcome so many guests to Flats Mentor Farm for our 10th Annual Tour de Farm. Despite a brief visit from the rain, it was a beautiful day on the farm and a wonderful celebration of our interconnected communities. A huge shout-out to for lending us a wagon for the farm tours and to for generously allowing us to use their parking lot for our shuttle. Their support helped make the day possible. We’re already looking forward to the next one. And a big thank you to Massachusetts Department of Agricultural Resources Commissioner Randle for joining for the full event. A fantastic day all around.

World Farmers is excited to partner with UMass Memorial Health and their Community Health Equity Team (CHET) in their efforts to increase local food purchasing for their hospitals and beyond. This summer, you can find one featured crop per month across six UMass Memorial Health facilities. Last week was Amaranth and it turned out beautifully. Happy to be a small part of localizing food purchasing and introducing new vegetables to new communities. UMass Memorial Health

CSA Pickup Locations Confirmed!

We’re excited to continue offering CSA pickup at Longfellow Health Clubs in Natick and Wayland this season.

These locations have been great partners over the years, helping make fresh, local food more accessible to their communities. We truly appreciate their continued support and collaboration.

Thoreau Club in Concord is back as a CSA pickup spot this season.

It’s been a consistent and convenient location for our members, and we appreciate the continued partnership. Having locations like this makes it easier to connect people with fresh, local food.

We’re excited to share that Joash Nyansageria and Grace Kionga of J&G Green Farms have invested in a tractor to support their growing operation!

World Farmers Apiary

Congratulations to Milkah Midenyo, Barnabas Forndia, Anna Kalenderian, and Ngala Shofola — our first group of World Farmers beekeepers!

They received their bees on a very cold day, set up their hives, and had to wait a few days for warmer weather before safely installing them. Now their bees are getting to work, helping pollinate crops at the Flats all summer long.

We’re excited to follow their journey and hopefully see World Farmers honey next year!

Fun Bee Fact:
A single worker bee visits around 1,000 flowers just to fill her honey stomach. Over her entire lifetime, she’ll only produce about one teaspoon of honey.

In their first year, hives focus on building comb and storing enough honey for the winter. It’s not until year two that they really start producing surplus honey.
