is a veteran founded and operated Non-Profit Organization that strives to meet the local needs of veterans, including but not limited to, referrals to local programs and community engagement. Return To Base’s central focus is assisting veterans who are struggling to transition into a civilian life upon completing their military duty due to military related injuries, to include mental health issues
. Return To Base has had great success utilizing veteran-to-veteran direct support and innovated community engagement. One of the many ways that R.T.B. accomplishes its goal is creating veteran-centric events that allow veterans to connect to local resources and other veterans. R.T.B. hosts varying local events that allow veterans struggling with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (P.T.S.D.), depression, anxiety, or other mental health issues from their military experiences to venture outside their comfort zone and interact with other veterans who share their experiences in a safe and positive environment. During these events, veterans are introduced to similar veterans who have had success dealing with their mental health issues and can provide stability and mentorship for them. Veterans are also introduced to local organizations who can assist them to overcome their obstacles. These organizations will include local Veteran Centers, Department of Mental Health, and other non-profit organizations that provide mental health services.
