The Power of Partnership
One of the things we are most grateful for at Anchor is the incredible network of community partners who walk alongside us in serving our neighbors.
As Christians, we believe we are not called to do this work alone. We believe in the power of partnership—bringing together churches, nonprofits, businesses, agencies, and caring individuals so that, together, we can meet needs that none of us could address as effectively on our own.
Last week, we had the opportunity to see that partnership in action.
Together with one of our community partners, Anchor was able to help a neighbor with rent assistance after a car accident caused them to miss work and fall behind on their rent.
It may sound like a simple act of financial assistance, but behind that assistance was a person who was facing a difficult season and needed someone to come alongside them. That is what partnership can do.
One organization may have resources. Another may have relationships. Another may know where to find additional help. And Anchor may be the place where all those pieces come together.
When we work together, we can say to someone in a difficult moment:
“You don't have to face this alone.”
We are deeply grateful for partners who share our belief that every person deserves dignity, compassion, and the opportunity to move forward.
We believe this is part of what it means to live out Christ's command to love our neighbors. Sometimes that love looks like a meal or a shower. Sometimes it looks like a listening ear, a prayer, a connection to a resource, or—as it did last week—a helping hand that keeps someone safely housed during an unexpected crisis.

We are stronger together, and we are grateful to God for every opportunity to serve together.
