Healthy Kids Running Series - Lancaster Area HKRS was established in 2009 to combat childhood obesity Jeff believed the program would encourage kids to adopt a "Get Up and Go" attitude.

Mission:
Established in 2009, the Healthy Kids Running Series was created by Jeff Long, Founder and President of Pattison Sports Group, to provide kids with a positive, educational, and fun experience in the world of running. To combat the increasing rates of child obesity in America, Jeff designed a running program that would motivate kids to be healthy and active and provide a fun environment t.

The Healthy Kids Running Series is a five week running program for kids from 2 years of age through high school. Each Race Series takes place once a week and offers running events such as the 50 yard dash, the 1/4 mile, the 1/2 mile, 1 mile, and 2 mile run. Kids will compete each week of the Series for a chance to earn points, and at the end of the Series the top boy and girl with the most points in their respective age division will receive a trophy. It doesn’t matter how fast or slow you are since all participants will receive a medal for their achievements! Join us as we encourage kids to adopt a healthy and active lifestyle, help increase their self-esteem, and make new friends! SPRING SCHEDULE 2024 @ Manor Church Community Park

πŸ—“Mark your calendars. We have a tenative start date of Sunday April 12, 2026 for the Spring series. Confirmed dates and registration open announcement will be shared in January.

πŸ₯° We had a presenting sponsor, 5 local sponsors (paid/trade) and 2 regional sponsors supporting our program this Fall
