Today while washing my hands in the gym bathroom, I looked down at my shirt and noticed I had gotten chocolate from my doughnut this morning on it. At another time in my life, another Me would have thought, “ugh, I can’t believe I ate a freaking doughnut before coming to the gym. What a waste of a workout.” But today’s Me thought, “dang that doughnut was good! I’m sure it’s gonna fuel today’s leg day.” It’s all about perspective, my friends. Life is all about perspectives.

Today was day one of the third week since I’ve restarted my daily workouts. I took WAY to much time off. It’s so discouraging to do a workout that use to be “easy” for me and struggle so hard now. This selfish was taken at the 24 minute mark of a 30 min P90X3 workout. I didn’t stop to take a selfie. I stopped because I felt like I was dying! I had to pause the video and take a breather. I keep reminding myself, ‘it’ll get easier. You’ll get fitter. This will make your day better. You’ll start to feel better overall. Hello adrenaline ride! TRUST THE PROCESS!” I’ll be channeling my inner Little Engine that Could until I reach my goal, “I think I can, I think I can...” 🚂

I seriously LOVE making this salad. I hard boil a bunch of eggs every Sunday so the only thing I have to do to make this, is chop up a bunch of stuff and toss them into a bowl! Today I actually weighed every ingredient individually and entered them into a calorie tracker and was pleasantly surprised to find it was under 350 calories. So filling & so good!

Much needed Piyo sessions have been going down in my home gym. If you didn't know, I don't like yoga. It's too slow for me. I know, I know... it's super good for me and my muscles need it. That's why it's awesome created Piyo. It's perfect for those of us who need the stretch and strength from yoga but in a more upbeat manner. When you do it, I highly suggest putting your phone on a burst photo app and taking pictures. It'll help you see where you need to work on your form next time. As you can see, I have a lot of work to do!

I've had a few people ask me about Shift Shop recently, our newest workout program, so today I decided to do one of those workouts. It was great! It was only 25 mins., which was perfect since I'm pressed for time today. I highly recommend it to everyone. It's great for beginners and for those who workout everyday. Perfect program to keep in your arsenal of workouts! It's on BOD. So try it out and tell me what your think!
