Lancaster (TX) Historical Society

The Lancaster Historical Society is pleased to announce a platinum-level donation from Skybox Data Centers in support of the Restoration of the 1888 MKT Train Depot. In November 2025, LHS received a $100,000 commitment from a charitable organization dedicated solely to restoring the Depot. This grant operates as a matching program: for every $5,000 we raise, the organization contributes an additional $5,000. Thanks to the generosity of several donors and many local citizens, we have already raised $40,000. With Skybox Data Centers’ contribution, our total now stands at $65,000, which will be matched to reach $130,000. Every tax-deductible gift brings us closer to preserving this significant piece of Lancaster’s history. LHS extends heartfelt appreciation to Skybox Data Centers for their ongoing and meaningful support of our community. Their generosity has made a significant impact, with contributions not only benefiting our organization but also supporting a range of local groups, including LISD, the Lancaster Fire Department, Lancaster Park and Recreation, as well as various other important projects. Their commitment to uplifting Lancaster is truly valued.
