Non-Profit organization founded in 2012 that fills a need in the community by offering annual scholarships to Fairfield County students that may be struggling due to a cancer diagnosis in their family. Tammy Nusser was a community volunteer and Lancaster-Fairfield County Chamber of Commerce staff member in Lancaster, Ohio, when she lost her long battle with cancer in December 2012. Tammy planted t
he seeds for the idea of the Tammy Nusser Foundation Fund, whose goal was to help community members fighting cancer by simplifying their everyday lives with assistance for shopping, transportation, home modification, childcare and other non-medical expenses. Over the years, the board of directors for the Tammy Nusser Foundation Fund adapted the purpose of the organization to fill a different need in the community by offering scholarships to individuals who have personally battled with cancer or have been affected by a loved one battling cancer. The Tammy Nusser Foundation Fund realizes that dreams and plans of furthering one's education can be drastically altered by cancer and feel the need to provide financial assistance in the form of scholarships.
