The first five years of life offer a critical window for learning, with rapid brain development that does not occur at any other time. The parents we support are up to 10 times more likely to read aloud regularly with their children. ​

Reading aloud is not only one of the best activities to stimulate language and cognitive skills; it builds motivation, curiosity, and memory. During regular pediatric visits, new developmentally and language-appropriate books are given to children from birth through five years. Parents are supported as their children's first and most important teachers and children are given a foundation for success.
