We're delighted to welcome Dan Sahd, Owner of Sahd Metal Recycling, to next week's Carbon Neutral Coffee in York! Beyond leading the team at Sahd, Dan was part of the team who helped write, advise, and produce our Sustainable Business Resource Guide.

Now, he's joining us at CNC to discuss Sahd's holistic approach to sustainability and how their work of regenerating local resources is rooted in a people-centered focus. ♻

Join us next Tuesday, June 9th, at The Grotto for what we're sure will be a lively conversation. Among Dan's skills is the ability to bring spirit back into sustainability, even when it comes to business practices!

Next week, Carbon Neutral Coffee hits the road! Or more specifically, the bike lane 🚲

Join us at The Common Wheel next Thursday, May 28th for a National Bike Month edition of CNC. We'll hear from Laura Heilman, Mobility Education Specialist with Commute PA, and Evan Young, Owner of Larkstone, on how bikeable downtowns and active commuting support local business.

Learn about our speakers below and learn more about the event here ➡ regenall.org/events/carbon-neutral-coffee-lancaster-may

Laura Heilman (Mobility Education Specialist, Commute PA) will highlight real success stories from employers across the region who have introduced active transportation incentives for employees, showing how supporting bike and pedestrian commuting pays off for employee health, retention, and company culture.

Evan Young (Small Business Owner, Larkstone) will make the case for why walkable, bikeable downtowns are good for business, and share how local businesses can both benefit from and actively invest in the pedestrian-friendly character of their communities.

🍬 Ready for some sweet news???

You may have already seen her out in the community, building partnerships and sparking conversations across Lancaster County… now it’s time to make it official.

✨ Meet Alessandra Restrepo, Executive Director of RegenAll

Two months into her role, Alessandra is already helping us strengthen how we collaborate, think systemically, and move climate solutions forward in ways that last.

📍 Even sweeter? RegenAll has a new home at TCF Hub 812 of The Candy Factory

Our new coworking space is more than a place to work. It is a space where conversations turn into collaboration and momentum keeps growing.

“I believe climate action begins with small, everyday choices… and grows through how we show up together. This next chapter feels intentional and full of possibility.”
A fresh space.A bold leader.A lot of momentum.
👉 Come be part of it

🗓 Tuesday, May 12 (tomorrow!) 🕗 7:45-9am 📍 The Grotto

Join us in Downtown York for Carbon Neutral Coffee - our monthly networking meetup for advancing sustainable practices in businesses and communities.

This month, we're exploring the benefits of localized energy production. Founder & CEO of Woodland BIO, Luca Pandolfi, will discuss:

🍃 How circular economy principles can transform regional energy systems

🚗 Woodland BIO's approach to producing low-carbon fuels from low-grade woody biomass

🌲 How localized production keeps value in-region, supports sustainable practices, and delivers immediate climate impact

We'll see you tomorrow for this important conversation!

We all know that buying food from your local farm is more planet-friendly than the grocery store. The associated transportation emissions are far lower, smaller farms tend to adopt more regenerative practices, and you're supporting your local economy.

Just as producing food on local farms is more sustainable 🍎, so is producing energy through local, circular supply chains. That's what Woodland BIO is doing in Pennsylvania.

Woodland BIO's vision is to build local, circular supply chains that strengthen rural economies, support sustainable forest management, and advance a practical, hybrid pathway to decarbonizing transportation. 🌲

Currently, the company is building a facility in Tioga County, PA to convert low-grade, woody biomass into road-spec gasoline, biochar, and renewable electricity, enabling immediate emissions reductions while leveraging existing vehicles and infrastructure.

We're excited to feature Woodland BIO's Founder & CEO, Luca Pandolfi, at next Tuesday's Carbon Neutral Coffee in York! Join us for a conversation on a topic that gets little attention but could have a critical impact on the climate. 🌎

We may not be able to keep a tablecloth straight (it was very windy that day!), but we CAN tell you how to be part of the climate resilience movement in Lancaster! Come see us at Open Streets, hosted by Lancaster Recreation Commission, this Saturday, May 9th, between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m.

Open Streets Lancaster is a free, family-friendly event that temporarily closes Water Street and turns it into a paved playground. It is part of a broad effort to encourage physical activity, re-imagine the city as a place to walk and bike for transportation, help people meet, and steward meaningful social connections.

We'll see you there! 🚲
