Time for a Safety Moment!

October 4-10 is Fire Prevention Week, and the National Fire Protection Association has focused on safe charging habits that can help reduce the risk of lithium-ion battery fires and keep homes and communities safer.

As Scouts, we all know about taking care with campfires and other sources of flames in outdoor activities, but have we been taking care with our electronics?

The NFPA outlines several charging tips to help you and your family stay safe, such as charging electronics on hard surfaces and using quality, intact chargers to reduce the chance of fire.

While Fire Prevention Week is almost over, these tips can help you stay safe not only at home, but at camps as well!

Attention all Scouters! For the month of October, the Scout Shop will have some extra hours! It will be open on Tuesday evenings until 7 PM for you to stop by and do some of your shopping if you can't make it during our normal hours.

This is an addition of hours and will not change the opening time on Tuesday's.
