Juneteenth is a day that lends itself to sincere reflection on the injustices endured by black Americans and other marginalized people. It is also a day to refresh our commitment to the work of justice and equality that is yet before us. When we reflect on the injustices of the past, and face the work ahead, we are reminded that our interconnectedness means when we stand up for justice we all benefit. If we want a better world, Juneteenth is a holiday for all Americans. Let us all take a moment to stir our hope for racial justice and equality everywhere and for all.
