🍽️💛 Huge update keeping our local youth's plates full — and a HUGE thank‑you to Fairfield County! 💛🍽️

Because of your generosity, April and May were incredible months for supporting our local kiddos:

• 1,505 bags of food sent home
• $6,487 worth of donated food items
• 109 volunteer hours
• 203 donated miles driven to deliver meals and food

Every hour volunteered, every mile driven, every can donated — it ALL adds up to fuller plates and brighter days for children right here in our community.

We are so grateful for the compassion and teamwork you continue to show. Fairfield County, you are truly living out the unity in community each and every day. 💙💛

Congratulations to our friends and agency partner, The Lighthouse, on receiving the Nonprofit of the Year award at the Pickerington Area Chamber of Commerce awards last night! 🎉 We are incredibly proud of our partnership and honored to support their impactful work through our grant allocations.

We also want to congratulate Lancaster Fairfield Community Action Agency on being a nominee for Nonprofit of the year. They are another outstanding agency partner doing vital work in our community, and we are proud to support their efforts with our donor dollars.

As our Weekend Backpack Food Coordinator, you’ll play a key role in expanding our weekend backpack feeding program to better address food insecurity among school-aged children. You will:
• Build data-driven systems to identify unmet needs and service gaps
• Strengthen partnerships and volunteer networks across school districts
• Develop sustainable funding streams to ensure long-term stability
• Help grow the program beyond its current reach of 13 schools and 974 students
• Support the vision of a year‑round initiative that increases equitable access to nutritious food

This role is ideal for someone who is comfortable with data and planning systems, effective communication, and a passion for helping children thrive.

• Earn a Prize: Visit 6 parks/events and receive your choice of a cup or cooler!
• Bonus Credit: If you attend a public event within the county that is not listed, you can list it and the date you attended on a separate piece of paper and attach it to your passport for credit.
• Grand Prize Entries: For every 2 additional parks or events you visit beyond the initial 6, you will receive an entry to win the grand prize—a cooler filled with a cup and other goodies.

We are happy to announce that it is time! Pool Passes and Back to School Applications will be open starting June 1st!

For pool passes, please bring your photo ID, proof of residency and proof of all children in the household to Fairfield County 2-1-1 office between 9am and 3pm. Pool passes are available WHILE SUPPLIES LAST so don't wait to come down!

For Back-to-School clothes, you can apply at the same time, or the applications will be available starting June 1st. This year applications will only be accepted via online submission or in office. We will NOT be accepting any email or Facebook submissions this year! Big news to celebrate! 🚗✨

Our first two young adults in the Wheels 2 Work program drove away in their new vehicles — a huge step toward independence, stability, and future success. We’re so proud of them and can’t wait to see where this opportunity takes them. 💙💛
