During my senior year I was involved in BBBS, NHS, and some leadership groups. My plan after graduation is to get my degree in ultrasound! Mentoring has meant a lot to me, my little is more than just a friend to me, she is genuinely like my little sister and leaving is so saddening to me. I can’t wait to see what she grows up to be. I 100% recommend Big Brothers Big Sisters to any high schoolers who are able to be a mentor. The kids in the program need a friend and after becoming theirs, you’ll realize that you needed one too. They will become so so important to you.

I participated in Cross Country, Swim, Track, Varsity L Club, Key Club, Interact Club, Girls Athletic Association, and Big Brothers Big Sisters. I will be attending Capital University to run cross country and track. Being a big has allowed me to be a positive role model for my Little. There’s more to it than just a visit every week. It’s about being a mentor, friend, and a leader in your Littles life.

During my senior year, I was involved in cross country, track, and basketball, as well as groups like Big Brothers Big Sisters and GAA. After high school, I plan to attend Indiana University, where I will continue running cross country and track. One of the most meaningful parts of my year was mentoring. I loved showing up each week to make my Little’s day a little better. We had a lot of fun, especially playing Battleship and having good talks about life. I would definitely recommend being a Big. It’s such an awesome and rewarding experience.
