Mental health has many different components and several different causes. The burdens of living with a mental health disorder are not something to romanticize or discredit. You are strong and valid, never forget you are not alone. Dealing with these burdens is greatly helped through having support such as a therapist. Support is something everyone should have access to. The homeless population deserves these supports and should have better access to them. Help raise awareness about mental health and the lack of access to help by sharing our posts and donating to charities and organizations that help the homeless population gain access to them!

If you see someone having a mental health crisis such as a panic attack, how should you help them? Now there are several different way to help someone, but here are some common mistakes that we have alternative solutions for! If the person having a mental health crisis does not have a diagnosed mental illness, please do not try to diagnose them. If you aren't close with the person you are recommending to go to see if they might have an undiagnosed mental disorder, please do not recommend them to a therapist or psychiatrist as it is an extremely touchy subject.

Sometimes we don’t realize how close the issue of homelessness is to us. There are 422 people experiencing homelessness in Lancaster right now. It is our mission to spread awareness and improve the lives of people experiencing homeless in Lancaster, PA. With your help we can do this, repost this to your story to about the lack of mental health services homeless people receive. After we meet with our beneficiaries and ask what they would like to see from us, we will begin posting links to gofundme pages. 100% of all donations will be given straight to them so they can satisfy their needs.

According to the U.S Department of Housing and Urban Development 45 percent of people experiencing homelessness have a mental illness, of this 25 percent suffer from a severe mental illness. This is a clear problem that we want to focus on, please spread the word about this problem to help us with our mission. Which is to expand mental healthcare to people experiencing homelessness.

There are many causes of becoming homeless such as not being able to manage a (un)diagnosed mental illness. Those affected can also have a hard time managing financed and time causing them to lose their jobs. We have reached out to a local homeless shelter, Bridge of Hope. Currently, bridge of hope has to outsource its therapists, so we plan on donating all raised funds and donated necessities straight to them. Your engagement and donations can change the lives of those suffering from the burden of mental illnesses.
