I'm very excited to share the news that I was selected to join the third cohort for the Culture of Health Leadership Institute for Racial Healing (CoHLI), a Institute by and ! The Institute is an 18-month leadership experience that uses the Truth, Racial Healing and Transformation™ Framework (TRHT ™) to strengthen the ecosystem of leaders who are advancing racial and health equity in their work.

This is critical work necessary for working toward racial equity in our communities. Thirty-nine other talented leaders from 20 different states around the country are joining me in CoHLI to take on work relative to narrative change, racial healing and relationship building, separation, law, and the economy. They possess leadership experience in the policy, law, grassroots organizations, education, and health fields. I couldn’t be more honored to join them and the 80 leaders from the first and second cohorts already in the Institute.

Our delegation is raising $5,000 for the Lowndes County Friends of The Civil Rights Movement, a charitable group that raises awareness of the contributions of the people of Lowndes County to the Civil Rights Movement of 1965; and will present them with a check on behalf of Sanctuary of Hope.

This week has been one for the books! Talk about LIFE CHANGING experiences. Shoutout to the 150+ organizations across the nation that signed on this letter to the President of the United States Joe Biden to address the needs and desires EQUITY in America. This is not just a buzz word. This has to be something implemented and taken seriously on an individual and collective level.

Next step: A Meeting with the Office of the President.
