TLDR: WE WON A WEAVER AWARD!

Dear Friends,

Last night was special for me and for FORP, as four of us attended the first annual Lancaster Weaver Awards celebration. Sponsored by the Lancaster County Community Foundation, this local iteration of the national recognition program is "a new initiative that seeks to highlight the community-building work of individuals and organizations investing in their neighborhoods."

I'm pleased to announce, officially to the public at large, that Friends of Reservoir Park is a 2026 Weaver Award winner! This means $2500 for our group to continue and expand the community services we've been providing at the Park.

It's a great funding boon, and an honor just to be nominated. But actually winning the award reinforces that our efforts are SEEN and they MATTER.

Thank you to all who have volunteered, advised, attended meetings, and contributed in countless ways to FORP's successes this year. Here's to many more service efforts in the months and years to come!

Gratefully,
Meg Martin
FORP Chair
