Exciting day at Sheltered. Our much awaited donation bin has been installed. No need to make appointment to donate. Just stop by at your convenience and drop it inside. Small bags work best. Large bags will not fit in the chute.

Acceptable items: CLOTHING ONLY!
Clothing (men, women and children)
Shoes
Linens (blanket, sheets, towels)
Belts
Caps

Unacceptable items: PLEASE, do not donate these. It cost us to dispose of items so please just place in your garbage instead!
Stained or ripped clothing
Contaminated clothing (pet hair/smells)
No furniture or household items needed. Please take those somewhere else. That’s NOT our ministry field.

Needed but
Please DO NOT DONATE in this bin:(because a leak will destroy everything inside). Bring these during open hours.
Food (pop top cans)
Drinks (sodas/gatorade)

Sheltered would like to take time to recognize and thank our volunteers. We are grateful for those who chose to give generously of their time, talents, and financial support.

Beth Huneycutt

Beth has been volunteering with Sheltered for four years. She has known Jamie Miller, the Executive Director, for many years, and felt led to help him with the ministry. Beth spends several hours each week in our new 'donation room' going through the bags and bags of donations that are brought to our office. Once the bags are sorted and organized, she tags and hangs the clothing items and fills the shelves with other necessary items, such as socks, shoes, and undergarments, that our clients may need. The 'sorters' are also responsible for restocking the clothing bus for each outing.

In addition to working with Sheltered, Beth also volunteers for Ground 40 and House of Pearls ministries. Philippians 2:3 speaks to her heart about her desire to serve: "Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility, value others above yourselves."

A true hero to the homeless community. Great guy that cared about everyone.
Hirtle was one of the go to people anytime we had an issue we needed advise about.
He will be missed!
