Kahiau Project 2021:

It is that time of year again for our Kahiau Project applications to go out, they are due no later than October 15th to the Lanai Police Station with a copy of all the documents required on the checklist sheet. We will be doing the project the regular way this year.

If you have families/adults without kids or seniors that would like to apply for the project, please reach out to me and I will send you a different application.

All families/persons will be required to fill out another application and have an in person interview on October 23rd with the Salvation Army here at the Lanai Police Station. They will not have to bring in the paperwork they already turned in, we will have that here for the Salvation Army when they come. We can work with people who are not able to come to the in-person interview, if needed, on a case by case basis.

Support LCoC!

It's been well over a year since LCOC has been able to host a traditional 5th Friday Event for our community that supports Lanai Businesses during the events. We are hopeful that later this year, since there are vaccines for Covid19, we will start to see restrictions eased on social gatherings and we may resume 5th Friday events safely & responsibly.

Unfortunately last week we were informed that the Lanai Chamber of Commerce will not be awarded the OED Grant that funds our activities for 2021.

We encourage you to support the Lanai Chamber of Commerce advocating for our local businesses. By becoming a member or by donating to the Chamber you'll help support, promote, and increase the economic activity of Lanai local small businesses.

Dr. Letitia S. Wright, D.C., a international speaker, is the executive producer and host of her nationally syndicated television show "Wright Place Television", which is now in its 18th season with the bandwidth expanding over 6.5 millions homes each week in Southern California on Direct TV Channel 64.

Dr. Wright has built and sustained successful business endeavors for a span of 19 years and is steadily breaking new ground with her expertise as director and producer. She is the 2019 "GRM Awards West Coast Media Mogul" winner.

Dr Wright teaches for the Los Angeles Small Business Administration, the Las Vegas Small Business Administration, the Reno Small Business Administration as well as Cal State San Bernardino’s MBA program. She also teaches an Entrepreneurship class for students in Orange County in partnership with "Stand Up for Kids - Orange County."

As America’s Crowdfunding Strategist, Dr. Letitia Wright was part of the 2018 November faculty of the "Excellerated Business Schools" in Thailand. In March of 2018, she was honored by the "All Ladies League and the Women’s Economic Forum" in Holland. She also joined the WAVE based in Holland to help combat women’s economics around the globe. Dr. Wright taught at Dallas Start Up Week 2016. Soon after that event, she was contacted and traveled to Maui on an open invitation to be presenter and speak into the lives of the participants for Maui and O'ahu Start Up Week 2016. She is in the list "Top 100 Crowdfunding Experts" and was invited to President Obama’s Global Entrepreneur Summit Summer 2016.
